MVCOC Youth

The Youth Group at the Mt. Vernon church of Christ is for grades 6th-12th. On Sunday mornings we offer two classes, one for 6th-8th and one for 9th-12th. On Wednesday evenings we offer a meal at 6:00pm followed by a time of singing and Bible study at 7:00pm. We also offer other various activities throughout the month and year, information on some of those can be found below.

Fireside

Fireside is held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month after evening services. It is hosted in someones home and consists of games, activites, singing, devo, and a meal. Depending on the season, Fireside is held indoors or outdoors.

DIG-IT @ Happy Hollow

Mt. Vernon church of Christ is proud to be affiliated with Happy Hollow Bible Camp, located north of Strafford, MO. Each year our minister directs session 11 known as DIG-IT Week @ Happy Hollow. This session is offered at no charge to the campers.

MS Pancakes & Prayer

Each Tuesday morning at 7:15am, during the school year, Pancakes & Prayer is held for the 6th-8th graders. Our fellowship building is across the street from the MV Middle School and kids are able to come early and enjoy fellowship, pancakes, and sausage.

HS Meet & Eat

Once a month we choose a day that the 9th-12th graders are out of school and meet for lunch. We usually meet at a restaurant in MV and share a time of fellowship, conversation, and food. Occasionally we will load up on the bus and travel elsewhere to eat.

The items listed above are just a sampling of some of our more consistant activities. We strive to keep all of our young people actively involved in various ways and aspects.
